Plan to remove a crab apple tree (Malus Sylvestris) due to safety concerns from breaking branches and squirrel damage. A Prunus Amanogawa tree will be planted as a replacement.

Proposal as recorded

Crab apple tree (Malus Sylvestris). Fell because of breaking branches due to exceptional heavy crops of fruit each year. Also risk of injury to pedestrians. Squirrel damage affects a major part of the tree, hence removal seems apprpopriate, to address safety concerns. Replacement tree in same setting will be Prunus Amanogawa. HAR/CA34.
