These works are being undertaken on behalf of Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) to prune trees and vegetation away from overhead power lines and associated equipment, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the electricity network. The works form part of a planned 3-4 year cyclical maintenance programme designed to maintain statutory clearances, improve network reliability, and reduce the risk of power outages.
