Application to re-pollard the lime tree (T384) in the front garden and lime trees (G1, G2) and laurel tree (G3) in the rear garden for safety and light, as they have regrown since last pollarding in 2020.
Proposal as recorded
The lime tree in the front garden which is TPO number T384 requires re-pollarding for safety and to allow light. The lime (T384 in the TPO), consent was given to fell this tree because of its effect on the wall, the tree was retained but pollarded in 2020 and has subsequently vigorously regrown. Re-pollarding is recommended to limit stem diameter increase by controlling the vigour of the tree and hopefully prolonging the life of the wall and the tree. In the rear garden the lime trees numbered G1 and G2 on the sketch plan are to be re-pollarded and the laurel tree number G3 is also to be re-pollarded - each of these were last re-pollarded in July 2020.
