Application to prune mixed broadleaf trees along Torkington Lane for 3 m clearance from high voltage power lines. Up to 5 semi-mature oak trees/poplar trees will be removed. Work approved by landowners and to be carried out by electricity northwest.

Mixed broadleaf trees in woodland running along Torkington Lane. (Oaks, Poplars, Sycamore, Birch, Holly, Hazel). Permission to carry out pruning work to gain a 3 m clearance from the electricity northwest overhead high voltage power lines. Up to 5 semi mature oak trees / poplars will need to be removed as their main stems will still be within the 3 m clearance even once pruned. NO trees able to support a ladder or person should be within 3 m of a high voltage power line. Permission for the work has been granted by the landowners who have requested all arisings to be dropped at their property. All work to be carried out by electricity northwest and their associated contractors. Date to be confirmed with all stakeholders once work approved. Work will require TM to be arranged (by ENW) and for an outage. TPO 10E.
