Application for tree works including removal of one Holly tree to facilitate a house extension, crown reduction and thinning of several Holly trees to manage size and improve safety, and pruning of overhanging branches from neighboring trees.
Proposal as recorded
T1 Holly - Proposed removal to facilitate a planned house extension. T2 Holly - Crown reduction: reduction of overall height by approximately 1.5 metres, lateral reduction: reduction by 1.5 metres on all aspects (north, east, south and west) to maintain shape and manage size, crown thinning: approx 10%of the crown to be thinned to improve light penetration and air flow T3 Holly - Crown reduction, reduction of overall height by approximately 4 metres, lateral reduction: reduction by 1.5 metres on all aspects (north, east, south and west) to maintain shape and manage size, crown thinning: approx 10% of the crown to be thinned to improve light penetration and air flow. Reason: The tree is extremely top heavy, with a dense upper canopy that contributes to imbalance. It also exhibits a significant lean of approximately 70% in the direction of the childrens bedrooms and play area, raising concerns about safety and structural stability. The proposed reduction aims to mitigate risk, manage size, and preserve the trees health while ensuring the safety of nearby occupants. T4 to T6 Hollies - Crown reduction: reduction of overall height by approximately 4 metres, lateral reduction: reduction by 1.5 metres on all aspects (north, east, south, and west) to maintain shape and manage size, crown thinning: approx 10% of the crown to be thinned to improve light penetration and air flow. Neighbouring Trees: Substantial pruning of overhanging branches to achieve a clearance of 2 metres from our property boundary, ensuring safe access and preventing encroachment.
