Proposal to reduce the size of two oak trees by reducing their radii and height to improve light levels and maintain shape.
Proposal as recorded
T1 Oak - North radius currently 6.5m, proposed reduction of up to 1.5m (5m), East radius - currently 8.5m, proposed reduction of up to 2m (6.5m). West radius - currently 6.5m, proposed reduction of up to 1.5m (5m). South radius - currently 10m, proposed reduction of up to 2.5m (7.5m) T2 Oak - North radius - currently 5m, proposed reduction of up to 1.25m (3.75m). East radius - currently 7m, proposed reduction of up to 1.75m (5.25m). West radius - currently 7.5m, proposed reduction of up to 1.8m (5.7m). South radius - currently 9m, proposed reduction of up to 2.25m (6.75m) The oaks are approximately 50 feet tall so the reduction would be to 37.5 feet, plus a reduction in spread to maintain a good shape. Previous crown thinning of these trees has not made enough difference to light levels as there are more trees to the South of the oaks.
