Application to crown lift a Poplar tree by removing selected lower secondary branches for a 3-metre clearance, maintaining the tree's natural form. The tree is part of Tree Preservation Order 414W and located at 46 Crossgate Mews. The work aims to improve safety and garden usability.
Proposal as recorded
Poplar (G1 ? T1) ? Crown lift by removal of selected lower secondary branches to achieve a clearance of approximately 3 metres above ground level. Works limited to no more than 20% of the live crown, maintaining the natural form and structure of the tree. The tree forms part of the Tree Preservation Order 414W (Group G1) and is located within the boundary of 46 Crossgate Mews, as shown on the submitted site plan (Annex A). Reason for works: The lower branches are overhanging and have previously snapped and fallen into neighbouring gardens, raising safety concerns. The proposed works are required to improve safety and increase clearance, enabling practical use of the garden space beneath the tree. The proposed works are limited to minor pruning only and will not alter the height or overall shape of the tree. TPO 414W.
