Application to cut back a large branch of a protected tree overhanging into the property from a neighbour's tree on the Cheshire East / Stockport boundary, with the neighbour's agreement, due to safety concerns.
Proposal as recorded
Out neighbours tree (which is protected on the Cheshire East / Stockport boundary) has a large branch overhanging into our property, normally under normal rules we could cut it back to their boundary and provide his with the branch if they wanted them However as the tree is protected I understand we need to apply for permission to cut the branch back. We have been in communication with our neighbour and they have given us there agreement for the branch to be cut back As we have a garden underneath the tree and have a 3 year grandchild who on occasions runs across the area and thre are parts of the branch which have alreadt snapped off we deem it to be dangerous.
