Application to remove two holly trees due to safety concerns from sharp leaves, to improve usability of the garden area, and to allow more light for vegetable beds.
Proposal as recorded
2 holly trees on the property that shed their sharp leaves all year, There are 3 key reasons for removal. 1. There have been many incidents of injury where me, my wife, my daughter & our pets have suffered injuries due to the spikes, this happens all the time. I sweep them up as best i can but the wind blows them all over the garden and into neighbouring gardens also. No sooner have I cleaned them up, we have a bit of wind or rain and I am back to square one. 2. As you will see from the photo. "Back\_patio" this area which we developed and built over the past 2 years including adding two sheds is generally hard to properly use due to the risk of cuts from the sharp leaves, punctures to bike tyres etc that we keep in one of the sheds. We would like to make better functional use of the area. 3. The trees also make the back of garden & the surrounding borders very shady and I would like to let more light into the garden to be able to set up veg raised beds etc to produce food at home.
