Plan to remove one decayed poplar tree and re-pollard the remaining poplars to 3.2m height to manage canopy and reduce risk.
Proposal as recorded
Group of 10 Poplar: The tree closest to the streetlamp shows severe basal decay and significant limb dieback extending over the road. Due to the extent of decay and associated risk, this tree is recommended for removal. The remaining poplars are recommended to be re-pollarded to 3.2m height, (see photo) in line with the previous lower pollard framework, in order to re-establish a manageable canopy and reduce future risk. Works will be undertaken using an access platform from within the garden perimeter.
