There's fungal fruiting bodies at approximately 8 meters and the bark is falling off revealing dead wood beneath as can be seen in the photographs. The applicant owns the land and has concerns as the tree is reasonably close to the road and he is in the process of reinstating pathways through the wood for the public to use. The applicant would like to make the tree safe.
