Proposal to remove a Lombardy Poplar tree in the rear garden of 339 Bramhall Lane due to its unsuitability for the garden size and potential risk in high winds. The tree will be replaced with a smaller fruit-bearing species. Felling will occur outside the nesting bird season.
Proposal as recorded
Lombardy Poplar within the rear garden of 339 Bramhall Lane, 2m from the boundary of 341 and 5m from the eastern boundary. This tree has been discussed with the Tree officer as unsuitable for a domestic garden of this size. It is believed to have about 20 years of life left and given the limited life and risk to properties within hight winds and that they?re not really a tree fit for a garden of this size we would like it removed. The tree would be replaced with a smaller fruit bearing species of local provenance which wouldn?t compete with the nearby mature lime. The tree does not have bat roost potential from ground observations. Checks of any features found at height will be undertaken to confirm no suitability to support bats. Felling works would be completed in the autumn/winter outside of the nesting bird season. TPO 76E.
