Proposal to remove a Sycamore tree at the rear of Lidl, opposite The Jade Centre, due to bark necrosis and risk to pedestrians and motorists. Replant recommendation is Tilia x europaea.

Proposal as recorded

T1 - Fell Sycamore tree at the rear of Lidl, opposite The Jade Centre (see sketch plan). The tree team attended site to remove a snapped branch and could tell from the major amount of bark necrosis that an unidentified sap/bark pathogen has advanced enough that the tree should be considered for removal as it poses a 'risk to life' from major dead wood failure. I would like to propose the removal of this tree due to concerns over the risks posed to pedestrians and motorists using Blake Grove. Replant recommendation Tilia x europaea
