Retrospective application for remedial works on a large oak tree at the front of the property, which sustained storm damage. The works included de-weighting of limbs and pruning to ensure safety and structural integrity. TPO 58W.
Proposal as recorded
Retrospective Application Statement. During the recent period of high winds, the large oak tree located at the front of the property sustained significant storm damage. The crown, heavily laden with acorns and foliage, failed under its own weight, resulting in the loss of a substantial section and consequential damage to the remaining structure of the tree. In response to this incident, essential remedial works were undertaken to ensure the ongoing safety and structural integrity of the tree. These works included the de-weighting of extended lateral limbs, which were exhibiting stress fractures due to excessive loading, and the tidying and pruning of damaged branches caused by the crown failure. All works were carried out with the intention of preserving the tree where possible, while mitigating immediate safety risks and preventing further structural deterioration. TPO 58W.
