Application to remove an 8m row of mature yew hedge obstructing views of the side elevation of the house and side garden. The hedge, comprising 35 trees, will not be replaced to maintain desired views.
Proposal as recorded
Remove a 8m row of mature yew hedge which is obstructing views of the side elevation of my house and side garden. Not to be replaced with any hedging. (The hedge was planted 5 years ago , prior to that there was no hedge in this location). The hedge is located to the left hand side of the driveway and comprises 35 trees, which are currently 2 to 2.2m tall. Removing the hedge would have no impact on neighboring trees as they are located far from yew tree roots. Reasons for the work; and where trees are being felled - (i) preserve views of side of house desire views of side of house and (i) better vires from side window onto road and front garden. Proposals for planting replacement trees: no replanting as wish to maintain desired views. HAR/CA21.
