Plan to fell a Beech tree due to extensive Honey Fungus and reduce an Oak tree by 3 metres to limit overhang, both covered by TPO number 77W.
Proposal as recorded
T1 Beech ? Fell to ground level. Reason ? The tree demonstrates extensive Honey Fungus beneath the bark and up the main stem. This is now girdling a considerable section of the trunk of this very large tree which is situated very close to two properties. The removal of the tree is recommended as there are no options which would allow the retention of the tree. T2 Oak ? Reduce the tree in height by 3 metres. Reason ? The tree is situated with 2.5 to 3 metres of the neighbouring property. The reduction work is aimed at limiting the amount that the tree overhangs and impacts the neighbouring property, whilst still allowing the retention of the tree. TPO number 77W
