Tree works are proposed at Selwyn House, including the felling of a cherry tree suffering from dieback and the crown reduction and thinning of a horse chestnut.

A1: Cherry - Marked T1 - Fell to ground - Reason: Heavy die back through out crown;Horse chestnut - Marked T2- Crown Reduction - Crown reduction of up to 1.5m, crown thin by 20% - Reason:To maintain the tree's crown size and density, has some stem decay originating from a branch removal wound, requires careful management. The crown is dense and top-heavy, so any reduction or thinning of the crown could increase wind stress on the tree.
